Our Story
Founded in 1982, The Bulls Disabled Sports Club (Charity 1057350) has been at the heart of wheelchair basketball in Greater Manchester for over four decades. We provide opportunities for disabled and non-disabled people across Greater Manchester to play, train, and compete together.
Over the years our players have gone on to represent Great Britain on the international stage. But seven years ago, rising costs forced us to withdraw from the National League — a decision that still drives us to find a way back.
Basketball wheelchairs are made to measure and cost upwards of £5,000 each — and it has been eleven years since the club last bought a new one. Your sponsorship directly funds our return to competitive play: new chairs, court time, travel, and the chance for our athletes to compete at the highest level once again.
Instead of relying on a single headline sponsor, we're building a herd — a community of 50 businesses that each take a spot on our match-day kit. It's a shared sponsorship model where every business gets real visibility and association with the club, and we get sustainable funding that doesn't depend on any one partner. Together, the herd is stronger.
